About The Host

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, at an early age Tragil Wade
became a caregiver to her younger brother, Dwyane Wade, among her
other siblings and extended family. While caring for her family, Tragil
realized she had a passion for giving back to underserved youth.
Following her passion, she earned her Associate Degree from San Diego
City College in Early Childhood Education. She then went on to receive her
Bachelors at Chicago State where she minored in Psychology and majored
in Elementary Education.
In 2007, she became the Executive Director of Wade’s World Foundation,
under her leadership the organization raised over $3.4 million and received
numerous awards. In 2014, she received a ministerial certifi cate and in
2015, received certifi cation in Transformational Foundation, Grants and
Strategies, Principals in Leadership and Board Building at the University
of Notre Dame.
In 2017, her organization was launched as a 501(c)3, America’s Big Sisters,
where she continues to pursue her mission of providing support for youth
across the country to live above diffi cult circumstances.

Empower, Encourage and Educate young ladies in underserved
communities to become positive, independent, goal-oriented and self-sufficient in society. Ensuring that every young lady is equipped with the
knowledge to pursue a productive and fulfilling life, and to succeed in a
diverse, evolving global society.
Our young ladies will break cycles of lack by building their self-esteem,
self-advocacy, self-suffi ciency, and increase their contribution to society
and their families.

How We Give

Through Scholarships


For Young Ladies Ages 12-17
This will be an opportunity that all sisters get
together to network, share testimonies as
well as be empowered by speakers with panel
discussions and breakout sessions. The event
will help them to develop their character, values,
talents, and personal leadership in order to
achieve their full potential in the future.



This scholarship opportunity is through partnership
with other individuals and organizations
• Courses that will prepare them to learn
and think critically
• Courses that will give intellectual, moral,
and social direction
• Courses that will provide educational and
instructional guidance
• Topics (self-esteem, relationship, finances,
college, etc.)
• Developing character, values, talents
